Garmin Fenix 5x – box photos of latest 5x arrivals and other interesting tidbits

This week’s delivery of Fenix 5x devices for PowerMeterCity is shown on the right.

There is little chance of finding them in stock in most places as ones that have not been pre-ordered are being snapped up, almost literally, en-route from box to shelf.

So if you want one rather urgently then you have to do a LOT of shopping around and hope for the best. That will be quite a lot of effort probably.

Some, less scrupulous buyers, are placing several pre-orders at several outlets and then cancelling the ones that don’t come up with the goods first. Tut, tut. That is a sign of gadget addiction rather than desperation 😉  People! You need therapy. (Retail therapy 😉 )

Pre-ordering is probably the best chance to get one at least for a few weeks.

Despite that, the Fenix 5, 5s and 5x are now generally shipping in most countries. Albeit in limited numbers in the case of very many countries.

The 5 and 5s are now shipping from the UK and all of the 5x, 5 and 5s from Power Meter City in the USA – . Thank you.

As of 23March there are still a few select anomalies where, for example, the 5x is only available in the UK at selected stores, well, only  Cotswold it seems! But are down to pre-order only too.

There is 10% off most stuff at Power Meter City with the coupon / discount / promo code: the5krunner10. HOWEVER It will not work for the Fenix 5 as cashback it will only work as 10% store credit. Sorry. That will be at list-price everywhere for some time, plus Garmin frown upon discounting in any case while products are under “MAP“. Occasionally some naughty resellers do discount but then get into trouble. Tut, tut.
