Garmin Lily – Gets More Options via New Colours
Garmin has recently made an announcement about its latest release of colour options for Lily, a smartwatch that blends a classic aesthetic with modern technology, featuring health and wellness monitoring, smart notifications and other functionalities. The new options consist of the Lily – Sport Edition, with a cream gold bezel, dust rose case, and silicone band, and the Lily – Classic Edition, with a cream gold bezel, grey case, and Italian leather band.
The Lily smartwatch is equipped with a 34mm watch case and a unique metallic patterned lens that reveals a bright, liquid crystal touchscreen display that disappears when not in use. In addition, it includes built-in sports apps for various activities such as yoga, Pilates, cardio, and outdoor workouts such as runs, walks, and bike rides when connected to a compatible smartphone’s GPS. Furthermore, the device monitors daily activity with step counting, calorie consumption, intensity minutes, and other features that leverage Garmin’s health and fitness functionalities. These functionalities include 24/7 wrist-based heart rate monitoring, Pulse Ox, Body Battery energy monitoring, advanced sleep monitoring, stress tracking, menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking, and more, to help users gain a better understanding of their bodies. Additionally, the smartwatch allows for easy connectivity through smart notifications, a calendar view, and safety and tracking features, such as Assistance and LiveTrack.
The Lily smartwatch boasts a battery life of up to 5 days, and the Sport Edition is available for purchase at a suggested retail price of $199.99, while the Classic Edition is priced at $249.99.
Opinion
Garmin Lily is about as small and light as Garmin watches get. Yet you get a decent battery life, a great set of Garmin’s wellness features, and a smattering of sports features.
The watch has a certain aesthetic appeal and Garmin targets a female audience.
Colours are an important element of the aesthetic…now you have more to choose from. We shall probably see many more tweaks to Garmin’s existing ranges this year especially those that fall under the FITNESS remit as that is the division within Garmin that needs to turn around a relatively poor performance in 2022.
