Epson SF-810 Review

Summary

This is a great high-end, optical-HR running watch – often overlooked.  Great design and well-made bit of hardware from a solid supplier but let down by the online software/app.

Positives: It’s a serious bit of running kit. Accurate GPS and pretty accurate optical HR. It’s got much of the needed running functionality as well as inbuilt HR and cadence. It’s light and well-made.

Negatives: The app and online software are well-intentioned but poorly implemented. Slight limited onscreen real estate with only 3 (and a half) metrics per screen.

Comments: I like the watch; from the looks to the using of it. Now that it is possible to get the exercise data out of the Epson Runsense environment it could even become my main running watch. What might hold YOU back is the price. It IS fairly priced (Edit: less than $100 in 2018) Go on! Be different !

Alternatives: This link covers alternatives for the best running watch at all price points.

Detailed Review: This link covers my detailed review of the Epson Runsense SF-810.

More: 2nd place in the Jan 2016 Issue of 220 Triathlon RUNNING WATCH. 1st was the Polar M400.

Best REI/Wiggle/PMC price is linked to. Prices are often discounted below $/£/Eu100.
