Moore Large – significant UK Bike Distributor goes under.

Moore Large appoints a receiver (effectively bankrupt)

Moore Large (ML) has a long history in the cycle trade, dating back over 75 years and is/was the UK’s largest family-owned supplier and distributor of bikes. ML was responsible for several lesser-known brands including Cuda, KMC, Kenda, Forme, Joe’s No flats, and more besides.

Cycling Industry News reports the High Court filing for receivership and also points out the harbingers of the current situation as the recent management buyout (2022) and significant stock clearance towards the end of 2022.

A separate, family-owned trust appears to have a financial charge of ML’s IP and possibly also to any monies left in the company. Creditors face a bleak outlook.
