Hamilton Beach 70820 is one of Hamilton’s newly released products this year. 2018 had a great start with this amazing kitchen appliance and we at TechChef get to be one of the very first to review it.

Hamilton Beach is one of the top manufacturers in the kitchenware market. The company was founded in 1910 and has ever since released a wide range of appliances. One of their latest additions is the Hamilton Beach 70820, a food processor of easy assemly thanks to its Stack & Snack design. The package includes five attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, pureeing, scraping and kneading. The 8-cup bowl has a built-in scrapper that prevents ingredients from sticking to the side of the container. Let’s find out more!

Performance

If you are looking for a top performance food processor you just found it. Our team was quite impressed with how 70820 performed. Had no problem processing a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, meat and dough. Quickly and easily, by using any of the 3 speeds: high, low and pulse, the ingredients were ready in no-time. Thanks to the bowl-scraper there is no need to use a spatula clean the sides, we quickly scraped it off and all done and ready. We are giving it a strong 9.5-grade in product performance.

Features

It does have some neat features. First of all, the already mentioned bow-scraper that eliminates the need to use a spatula, secondly the Stack & Snap assembly and storage box (which we discuss on the next section of the review), and thirdly the button panel that allows us to turn on/off, and pick a processing speed (high, low and pulse). The built-in bowl scraper facilitates the removing of ingredients sticked to the side of the bowl when or after processing.

“Pulse” means it will process for as long as you keep pressing the button.

Design & Material

Design and material is one of the strongest characteristics of this product. First of all, it includes one of Hamilton’s most recent features, the patent-pending Stack and Snap design. No difficult twisting or locking, just assembly and stack the base and than click the lid into place. On top of this it includes a storage case to conveniently hold the slicing disc, shredding disc and the dough blade. It’s built using plastic and stainless steel. Using it regularly and considering it’s a medium maintenance, it should last many years.

Hamilton Beach 70820 includes:

  1. 8-Cup Work Bowl.
  2. Storage Box.
  3. Bowl Scraper.
  4. S-Blade.
  5. Slicing Disc.
  6. Reversible Shredding Disc.
  7. Dough Blade.

Ease of Use

At first the stack and snap assembly system can be hard but after doing it 3 or 4 times you will be able to do it with your eyes closed. In fact, we expected it to be a longer task than it quickly was, the pieces stacked and clicked into place right away; very well designed. The button panel is very intuitive, a button to turn on/off and 3 others for the different speeds. The bowl-scraper of course makes it so much easier to remove ingredients stuck to the side of the bowl. We recommend it to everyone, from first-time owners to kitchen chefs.

Price

At the time of this review the price tag was $99. We at TechChef believe that is slightly overpriced, the ideal price tag would be $89. However, the unique design, top performance and durability could justify the current price. Overall, we believe it’s a good deal, also because it is a new product to the market.
