*NEW* Sports Watch Not Announced (Yet)

I’ve got a juicy rumour (fact) to share. I’ll call it a rumour for now as I can only titillate rather than tell you who it is.

The only real WearOS sports watch is still the M600. But now there is another WearOS sports watch on the cards but this time it will be using the new Snapdragon processor which I recently and briefly wrote about. I’m not especially interested, myself, in Qualcomm’s new bit of silicon but I am excited by the innovation that it will hopefully enable. I also quite like WearOS, despite its shortcomings.

There are some links further below and another thing I would point out that as of now (Sept 2018) I’m not sure of the timescales we are talking about with this new sports watch. It could be pre-Christmas 2018 or 2019.

Here are some factettes.

• It will be using the latest WearOS version and the latest Snapdragon processors
• It will be a sports-focussed WearOS watch (of the Polar M600 kind)
• Qualcomm announced a partnership with a major sports brand, and the watch is codenamed Project Stamina — we’ll learn more soon.
